Frequently Asked Questions
Who is this workshop for?
Small business owners who are new to government contracting — construction, services, IT, manufacturing, or professional services. No prior federal experience needed.
Do I need any certifications before I start?
No. Day 1 walks you through the registrations you need (UEI, SAM.gov, CAGE code) step by step. Specialized certifications like 8(a) or HUBZone come later and are covered in the blog and follow-on resources.
How long do I get access?
Lifetime access to all eleven original workshop videos. Watch at your own pace, on any device, in the same day-and-part order as the GC Experts classroom.
What if it doesn't work for me?
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If the workshop doesn't help you get further than you were, call us at (813) 678-5701 and we'll refund you.
Is the workshop tax-deductible?
In most cases yes — training for your business is an ordinary and necessary business expense. Keep your receipt and confirm with your tax professional.
What makes this different from free YouTube videos?
This is the original GC Experts three-day workshop, organized into eleven lessons with the same recordings and sequence as its classroom.
Is this a live seminar or self-paced?
Self-paced video recordings of the three-day workshop. The eleven lessons cover how to find, bid, negotiate, and perform federal government construction contracts.
I've never bid on anything before. Is this for me?
Yes — it was built for exactly that. Two attendees who had never bid or performed a federal contract in their lives won their very first bids ever after training. The workshop starts at zero: registrations, then opportunities, then your first bid.
Do I need a website or a contractor license to start?
Federal contracts are governed by federal law, and the federal responsibility rules (FAR Part 9) do not require a state contractor’s license. But there is no blanket federal exemption: state contractor and trade licensing (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, engineering) can still apply depending on the state and the location and type of work. Always confirm the licensing rules for the state where you will perform the work before you bid. The workshop covers the federal registrations you actually need: UEI, SAM.gov, and CAGE.
How is this different from reading the blog?
The blog teaches concepts. The workshop teaches the sequence — with the case studies, scripts, and checklists that turn concepts into a submitted bid. It also contains the material we reserve for enrolled students, including the negotiation and pricing strategies developed across a billion dollars of performed work.
